Established in 2001, the .NAME universal extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to buy john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to update the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special conditions on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
