Using obsolete applications or templates and plug-ins for them, or using very simple passwords is always a risk for your sites as these things make it easier hack them. Things get worse if you have a couple of Internet sites as all of them will be vulnerable if an attacker takes over only one of them. For this reason we have developed JailHost - an advanced level security feature which isolates websites from each other. In the event that an Internet site is compromised, its attacker will not be able to find or gain access to any other content outside the site folder, so all the rest of the sites hosted within this account will be protected and will be intact. The JailHost option will not substitute performing frequent script updates or using difficult passwords, but it'll minimize any damage to your Internet sites significantly, so you will have to fix only one website and not all of them.
JailHost in Shared Hosting
If you host your Internet sites within a shared hosting account from our firm, you could protect them using the JailHost option with just a couple of mouse clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. This option is provided with all plans and can be activated for every folder since the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have separate folders, so files for many different sites never get mixed up like it frequently happens with other Control Panels. We haven't activated JailHost by default as you may use scripts which require access to folders outside the main site folder and this option may interfere with their proper functioning, but shielding all of the other folders is really easy. If a secured Internet site gets hacked for whatever reason, we will be able to recover it easily since we'll have multiple daily backup copies of your entire account and you will even be able to view the available backups in Hepsia.
