Multiple OS
What number of server Operating Systems will you be able to select from?
An Operating System is the fundamental software that manages a computer. It handles the way your hardware behaves, the communication with peripheral devices such as a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between applications, as well as the prioritization of applications when several run concurrently. Every program that's installed on a desktop or a laptop operates by sending requests to the OS for various services using an application program interface (API). The interaction with the OS can be done through a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the hosting world, the OS is what commands a hosting server along with all of the software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but, in addition any other application such as a VOIP or a game server. If there are virtual machines created, they work with a guest OS that is run on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Hosting
We offer three Operating Systems with our
dedicated server solutions - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're freely available and they won't increase the low price of your new hosting server, but also because they are extremely stable and secure. Each one of them is backed up by a big community of web developers, so you'll be able to choose from many hundreds of software packages that you can install on your server if the app that you intend to work with has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use because the Control Panels that we offer run on particular OSs only and since we want to give you as much adaptability as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you choose a server with a given OS, we could change it upon request in the event that it turns out that you'll need alternative one. We will also keep the OS updated weekly as part of the additional Managed Services upgrade.
